The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden

The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden

This is the book that I was reading on our recent trip to the Lake District. Rated as a Sunday Times Bestseller and the hook on the front ‘From behind closed doors, she sees everything’ well I was intrigued. From the start of Millie meeting Nina Winchester you just knew trouble was in store, uncovering dark secrets when she was employed to work for them. However, until I reached Chapters 37/38 I never realised how a twisty turn this book was going to take. I am not going to spoil a moment for you all I can say is don’t read it in a room with a lock and a window that does not open!

At the time of this review I have also noted that it seems that a film has been made based on this book starring Amanda Seyfried best known as one of the leads in the film Mamma Mia. It is due for release in America around December 2025 but await a release date in the UK.

Welcome to Book Reviews by Amanda Jane. About me I work in the New Homes Industry, love the garden and all things floral, and love our holidays and the latter two mean that I can also enjoy those things and read which is my new found hobby. So whilst away in the Lake District in 2025 I thought why not blog and so here I am. Hope you enjoy.
